Some events, like hearing a bird singing early this morning, make it easy to be fully present. We are not remembering another bird, another moment.
I do not know which to prefer
The beauty of inflections
or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after
Wallace Stevens, Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird

I enjoy them both, and even more: I enjoy their connection. something as simple and beautiful as a Birdsong can build a link between now and then.
I love this post! I have a very special connection with Blackbirds as they are my favourite birds and their singing is so enchanting and distinguishing.
I must check out Wallace Stevens then! π
