I’m reminded of part of another poem by Hafiz “…and I often sing. But still, my dear, you do not come out. I have fallen in love with Someone who hides inside you.”
It can be so wonderful to see someone’s astonishing light, and also so frustrating when they don’t see it or don’t want to hear a word about it. In time…
