    This quote summons a few thoughts from my practice and reading.
    .
    There does not exist in the future a situation, a happening, an event which transform us, like happiness will be our constant companion if only we do this or that.
    .
    Give up that idea, and a realization comes forward that happiness is always present, maybe buried under many distractions and difficulties, but it is here, wherever we are, right now..
    Look a little deeper, quiet down a little more, happiness and living fully exist in the most mundane of situations.

  2. When I noticed this, my travels nearly ceased. I had passed more than a million miles of flying, and that was just with one airline. Still, I get a lot out of being in situations and around cultures different than what I’m accustomed to. It helps me see what I may be taking for granted. Fortunately, I encounter many travelers who come from afar.
