The trusting mind

Instead of always struggling to fix the incomplete, non-perfect, nature of this world, we can relax, and find rest in the uncertainty:

One thing, all things move and intermingle, without distinction.

To live in this realization is to be without anxiety about non-perfection.

To live in this faith is the road to non-duality, because the non-dual is one with the trusting mind.

Sengcan (529-613) Verses on the Faith Mind.

There are no straight lines or sharp corners in nature

Making a way

I have become my own version of an optimist.

If I can’t make it through one door, I’ll go through another door – or I’ll make a door.

Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.

Rabindranath Tagore

Every minute

Dialogue with the invisible can go on every minute,
and with surprising gaiety I am saying thank you as I
remember who I am, a woman learning to praise
something as small as dandelion petals floating on the
steaming surface of this bowl of vegetable soup,
my happy, savoring tongue.

Jeanne Lohmann, To Say Nothing But Thank You (extract)

Look for the beauty

When there is love, there is beauty.

When love is drying up in your life, look for the beauty around you.

That is where love can be found.

Haemin Sunim, The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down

Patiently we practice every day

Nothing which is ready-to-hand or present-to-hand within the world functions…. in the face of which anxiety is anxious.

Martin Heidegger, Being and Time

Sunday Quote : Hope

The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for.

And the most you can do is live inside that hope.

Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof.

Barbara Kingsolver, Animal Dreams
