so that I can notice the small purple flowers by the roadside
that I would otherwise miss

Not a dress rehearsal
Treat every moment as your last
It is not a preparation for something else

Why look elsewhere
There is no need to run outside
For better seeing,
For better seeing,
Nor to peer from a window. Rather abide
At the center of your being;
At the center of your being;
For the more you leave it, the less you learn.
Search your heart and see
If he is wise who takes each turn:
The way to do is to be.
If he is wise who takes each turn:
The way to do is to be.

At home here
Into the house where joy lives
Happiness will gladly come
Japanese saying
The wisest way
If you must look back, do so forgivingly
If you must look forward, do so prayerfully
However, the wisest thing you can do
is to be present in the present….
gratefully.
