The meaning of life is just to be alive.
It is so plain and so obvious and so simple.
And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves

Yes, where exactly are people trying to get to in the bigger picture of life?! Speaking of pictures, this one is perfect with the words.
Thanks Christy,
I thought it went quite well with the January mania for getting fit, and other resolutions, which seem good ideas but which often just fuel an underlying dissatisfaction with ourselves and the constant desire to “fix” how we are. Thanks for commenting. Hope it is not too cold up your part of the world. Well done on your blog and your book, and I am checking out the poets you refer to as well, many of whom I had not known,
Best wishes,
Karl
Hi Karl,
Thank you for the kind words here. I actually live in one of the mildest parts of the country, thankfully! I hope you are not deep in snow or any weather as cold as that. The January mania is running in full swing at the gyms right now, I am guessing! I hope you have a great day!
Hi Christy,
we actually had a little snow yesterday which is not frequent in Ireland and we are not so used to driving in it etc, so things move a bit slower. I saw some of the temperatures in Canada the other day on a weather forecast and they were very low, so I guessed it must get cold all over. Today we are expecting some strong winds. So plenty of weather systems to help us reflect on our inner life!
