when love blooms bright and wild.
Had Mary been filled with reason
there’d have been no room for the child

My first reaction to Madeleine’s poem was so “cute”.
Then the more I read it again and again, it felt like an exquisite wine – long lasting & perfect in spirit.
Of particular cuteness was the title that Karl Duffy penned, “Why it is not always good to be so responsible.” So much wisdom from this grayish world. Life is never black or white.
Yes, love is blind. No sense on insisting it to be rational or responsible. That would take all the fun out of it including the child.
