This is so true and very timely for me. I am about to leave for Ecuador’s coast, where residents will hold services to honor those who died a year ago tomorrow.

Thank you for this, Karl. As a former Christian, converted secular Jew and now Buddhist, I’m not sure what to make of Easter anymore. I think the themes around this time are very rich and universal and not confined to just one tradition, but reflect on our basic nature and indeed the end of suffering.
