Very cold weather here this past week.
This is the time to be slow,
Lie low to the wall
Until the bitter weather passes.
Try, as best you can, not to let
The wire brush of doubt
Scrape from your heart
All sense of yourself
And your hesitant light.
If you remain generous,
Time will come good;
And you will find your feet
Again on fresh pastures of promise,
Where the air will be kind
And blushed with beginning.
John O’Donohue, from Beannacht, Book of Blessings
Tis the seasob…received 20.5 inches of snow this past week….next week our high temperature will be below zero….
Yes Karl, here in North West England pretty cold & taking the opportunity to stay in & rest.
I first came across a John O’Donoghue book Anam Cara (think correct spelling) in a bookshop in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal when over for my aunts funeral and was quite impressed. Not familiar with this piece of work.
Thank you.
Apologies, comment for previous post.
