Keeping a place

If I keep a green bough in my heart,

the singing bird will come.

I want to know if you can see beauty … every day,

and if you can source your own life from its presence.

Not wasting our lives

File:Glass of white wine.jpg

If you have one hour of air  and many hours to go,

you must breathe slowly.

If you have one arm’s length and many things to care for,

you must give freely.

If you have one chance to know God and many doubts, you must

set your heart on fire.

We are blessed.

Every day is a chance.

We have two arms

Fear wastes air.

Live fully

Security is mostly a superstition.
It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.

Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.
To keep our faces toward change
and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.

Helen Keller.

Hold lightly

File:U.S. Army Capt. Erik Hickly, foreground, and other members of the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team participate in a nine-mile rucksack march Sept 120911-N-II659-690.jpg
We have these incredibly heavy burdens we carry with us like rocks in a big rucksack.
We think that carrying this big heavy rucksack is our security; we think it grounds us. We don’t realize the freedom,  the lightness of just dropping it off, letting it go. That doesn’t mean giving up relationships; it doesn’t mean giving up ones profession, or one’s family, or one’s home. It has nothing to do with that; it’s not an external change. It’s an internal change. It’s a change from holding on tightly to holding very lightly

It always has the capacity to amaze and we are always on the way……

To live is to be born slowly
