Short pauses….

door_closing

Try pausing right before and right after undertaking a new action,

even something simple like putting a key in a lock to open a door.

Such pauses take a brief moment,

yet they have the effect of decompressing time and centering you.

  1. Try extending the pauses after the inhale and exhale, slow them down, focus.

The body is kind of in a state of equilibrium, not inhaling building pressure or exhaling releasing air. The body is silent for a brief second. Match an empty mind and away we go.

  2. I love this thought! We are rushing through our day without reflecting on the little things in life such as opening a door. If everyone could be more present throughout the day I believe there would be more happiness in the world…
