I have just re-watched the DVD on Dogen’s life, so it was timely to read some of his words. Such a short life though. I can only imagine how much wisdom and knowledge he might have passed on if he’d lived past 53.
I can highly recommend the film Zen, starring Kantaro Nakamura as Zen master Eihei Dogen (if anyone reading this post is interested).
